Sept. 27, 1951-July 18, 1991 SOUTH BEND – Kathryn Ann Chapla, 39, of Carlyle Healthcare Center, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the nursing home. Miss Chapla was born Sept. 27, 1951, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by her parents, Dorothy and Chester Chapla of South Bend; a sister, Mary Chapla of South Bend; a brother, Christopher of Auburn, Ind.; two stepsisters, Patricia Seals of South Bend and Penny Ross of Gallatin, Tenn. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
