Gary T. Chandler

Gary Chandler, 37, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of South Bend, Ind., was born on Feb. 25, 1963, in Elkhart, Ind., to John Chandler of Tennessee and Toka Suggs Sanders of South Bend. He graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1979, then moved to South Bend. He worked as a fitness trainer, a comedian/ artist and writer. He helped his mother write a novel on his grandfather, the late James D. Suggs, surviving widow, Sylvia Suggs of South Bend.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Toka Suggs Sanders (Raymond Sanders) of South Bend; his father, John Chandler of Tennessee; three brothers and three sisters; two loving sons, Aaron and Gary Jr.; and two loving daughters, Darlasha and Cheynne.

Services for Mr. Chandler will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, in the Bethlehem M.B. Church, 24393 Fillmore Road, South Bend, with visitation from 12 noon until time of services. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery, South Bend. THE CLARK-O'NEAL FUNERAL HOME entrusted with services.
