Claude C. Chandler

November 26, 1912 – September 5, 1984

Claude C. Chandler, 71, of 19669 E. Palisade Avenue, died at 7:50am today in Memorial Hospital   He was the retired owner of Chandler Sales and Service and was formerly employed with Studebaker Corp and Bendix Corp.

Born on November 26, 1912 in Seneca KS, he lived in South Bend since 1936.  On February 24, 1946, in South Bend, he married Mabel C. Norris.  She survives along with two daughters, Diane S. Bernath and Karen L. Chandler, both of South Bend; and a son, Dean Alan of South Bend.

Services with be at 10am Friday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 US 33 N. Burial will follow in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the funeral home  He was a member of Community Congregational Church, FOP Lodge 155, Council Oak Lodge 745 F&AM, and a veteran of WW II serving with the Army.  Memorial contributions may be to the charity of donor’s choice.
