MISHAWAKA - Angela C. Cerri, 86, of Medco Nursing Center, South Bend, died this morning in the nursing home after an illness. She was born Aug. 21, 1901 in Pontenure, Italy, and had lived in this area since 1920, coming from Italy.

As Angela C. Sala she married Aurelio Cerri in Pontenure.He survives with two daughters, Yolanda Kizer of Mishawaka and Rosemary McNulty of South Bend; three grandchildren; a sister Celestina Rizzi of Ponterure; a brother, Livio Sala of New York; and several nephews. A daughter Mary Rose Cerri died in 1939. Two brothers, Art and Guido Sala also preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 Tuesday in Hahn’s DeVos Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
