Amelia M. Cerri

Amelia M. Cerri, 77, of E. 7th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, in her residence.
Amelia was born on Sept. 8, 1923, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Charles and Victoria (Horvath) Orban. She was also preceded in death by 12 siblings. On Oct. 27, 1945, in Our Lady of Hungary Church, South Bend, Amelia married Raymond A. Cerri, who also preceded her in death on April 17, 1992.
She is survived by three sons, Raymond Cerri of South Bend, David and Mark Cerri, both of Mishawaka; and by two granddaughters.
Amelia retired in 1986 after 19 years as a nurse's aide at Saint Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. The past three years she had been employed at the Meijer Store on State Road 331 South. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, and was a 1941 graduate of Washington High School, South Bend.
Visitation was from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where a Rosary was recited at 2:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, Dec. 15, in St. Joseph Church, Mishawaka, with Fr. Robert A. Yast officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
