MISHAWAKA - Marie J. Celie, 88, of West Eighth Street, died at 5 a.m. Sunday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Celie was born Sept. 19, 1906, in Belgium and lived in Mishawaka most of her life.

On June 16, 1928, in Mishawaka, as Marie J. DePaepe, she married Maynard Celie. He survives with a son, Raymond A. of South Bend; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery.

There will be no visitation. Hahn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
