MISHAWAKA - Mamie Louise Cavanah, 63,
of North State Street, died of natural causes at 3:15 a.m.
Saturday in her home. Mrs. Cavanah was a production worker at
Uniroyal, retiring in 1984. She was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Todd
County, Ky.
On July 24, 1948, in Dixon, Ky., as Mamie L.
Jones, she married Oscar Cavanah. He survives with two
daughters, Brenda Bush of Danville, Ind., and Glenna Rohyans
of Mishawaka; a son, Jerry of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; her
mother, Flossie Jones of Sebree, Ky.; eight sisters, Margie Floyd
of Henderson, Ky., Elsie Clark of Hopkinsville, Ky.,
Adrell Parker, Wanda Shelton, Joyce Dino,
Patsy Larue and Geraldine Tyler, all of Sebree, and
Janice Hill of Dixon; and three brothers, Eugene Jones of
Sheridan, Ind., and Donald and Tom Jones, both of Sebree. She was
a member of Albright United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice
of St. Joseph County or the church.
