Kenneth L. Cauffman Jr.
Kenneth L. Cauffman, Jr., 59, of Granger, IN, went home to be with the Lord at 8:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2006, in his home. He worked for the City of Mishawaka Park Department from 1988-1998 and then was employed with Power Components from 1998-2006. Kenneth was born on April 19, 1947, in South Bend, IN, to Kenneth L. and Rowena F. (Phillips) Cauffman.
On September 23, 1967, in South Bend, IN, he
married Barbara A. (Seifert) Cauffman, who survives. He
was preceded in death by his father and mother, Rowena Rock. Ken
is survived by his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Laura Lee (Todd) Carter
of Granger; one son, Danny Lee (Carrie) Cauffman of Mishawaka;
four grandchildren, Justin Lee, Kayla, Charles and Justin Allen;
one sister, Diana McDonald of Mishawaka; one brother,
Claude (Janet) Van Dusen of Three Rivers, MI; two nephews, Joshua
and Ryan McDonald; two great-nieces, Lexus and Brooklyn; one
great-nephew, Nickolas; and by his stepfather, James Rock
of Mishawaka.
Ken and Barb were adventurous, making moves to Florida and
Montana, always moving back home to Indiana. They enjoyed many
vacations including trips to Vegas, Maui and a Caribbean cruise.
His last great adventure, one of his dreams, was accomplished on
Father's Day 2006 when he was given a gift to ride and actually
fly a plane for several minutes. Ken was a caring, committed and
loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He always put his family first. Ken touched many lives with his
caring, humorous personality and will be missed by all who loved
him. He attended Cedar Road Missionary Church, Osceola, and also
was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 27,
2006, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave.,
South Bend. Rev. Matt Maloney, associate pastor of California
Road Missionary Church, will officiate. Graveside services and
burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday in
the funeral home, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. In
lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kenneth L. Cauffman
Jr. may be made to the Palmer Funeral Home to defray funeral
expense.
