Belle A. Cason, 88, of the Hamilton Grove Health Care Center, New Carlisle, Ind., passed away at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. Belle was born on March 10, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Lena (Rome) Altschul. She was a retired elementary teacher of physical education.

She married April 23, 1936, in Crown Point, Ind., to Clifford A. Cason, who preceded her in death in 1972. She is survived by two sons, Neal and Linda Cason of South Bend, and Robert and Marjorie Cason of Murrieta, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey and Gail Cason of Shelburne, Vt., Timothy and Renee Cason of Battleground, Ind., Christopher and Karen Cason of Carmel, Ind., Brian Cason of South Bend, Stephanie and Ryan Loiselle of Livonia, Mich., Larissa Cason of Astoria, N.Y., and Joanna and Michael Kadis of Poway, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Jenny Rudoy of Chicago; and by a brother, Ben Altschul of Apache Junction, Ariz.

Private family services will be held and there will be no visitation. The McGann Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
