Mr. Richard L. Carter, 60, of 33263
Indiana S.R. 2, New Carlisle, Ind., passed away on Saturday,
Sept. 19, at the Hospice House of St. Joseph County in South
Bend. Richard was born on June 20, 1938, in Plymouth, Ind., to
Lewis and Mildred (Marsh) Carter, both of whom preceded
him in death.
On July 13, 1963, in Rolling Prairie, Ind.,
Richard married Janet (Prestin) Carter, who survives. He
is also survived by three daughters, Andrea Rudalph of
Grabill, Ind., Angela Hamilton of Mill Creek, Ind.,
Annelise Carter of New Carlisle, Ind., a granddaughter, Hannah
Hamilton of Mill Creek; and by a brother, Phillip Carter of
Tulsa, Okla. Richard L. Carter was a draftsman at the Rockwell
Automation Plant/Dodge Division of Mishawaka for 22 years. He
lived in New Carlisle, for 27 years, coming from Jackson, Mich.
Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the 4-H
Rabbit Club and the American Rabbit Breeder's Association.
The funeral service for Mr. Richard L.
Carter will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Haverstock
Funeral Home, LaPorte, Ind. Burial will take place at Olive
Chapel Cemetery in New Carlisle. Visitation will be held on
Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday until the time of
services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made
to the Hospice House of St. Joseph County.
