Alvin Lee Carter, Sr.

Alvin Lee Carter, Sr., loving son and
brother, 19, of North Huey Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away
on Saturday, May 1. On March 29, 1980, in South Bend, he was born
to Al Lucas Carter and Cynthia Howard. Alvin was a student
at Clay High School and a member of the Sweet Home Missionary
Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his
fiancee, Nicole Kalber; a son, Alvin Lee Carter, Jr.; his
mother, Cynthia Howard, all of South Bend; his father, Al Lucas
Carter of Detroit, Mich.; six sisters, Marquita Perry,
Adrienne Willis, Antionette Howard, Antionette Carter,
Crystal Riley and Letitia Riley, all of South Bend; two
brothers, Al Michael and Ahmod Carter, both of Detroit; maternal
grandmother, Christine Howard; three special cousins, Bruce
Howard, Jerry Blackmon and Casey Blackmon; three aunts,
Irma Fultz, Willa Howard, and Lubirta Blackmon; three
uncles, Steven, Lawrence and Richard Howard; a niece, Dominique Wilson;
a nephew, Damarcus Halbert, all of South Bend; along with
a host of friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death
by his maternal grandfather, Howard Bearlie; and by his
paternal grandfather, Al Lucas Carter, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Saturday in the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation
will occur from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday in Alford's Mortuary.
