Garnet Carson

1/27/1925 – September 29, 1997

SOUTH BEND – Mr. Garnet “Johnny” Carson, 75, of West Colfax Avenue, South Bend IN, passed away at 1:08am or Wednesday, September 29, at Memorial Hospital.

He was born on January 27, 1925, in Tennessee.  He had lived in South Bend for about 35 years, coming from Tennessee.  He was employed by the University of Notre Dame as a janitor for many years.

Leaving to cherish his memory is a daughter, Nicole Broadnax, and a son, John D. Griffin, both of South Bend.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 5pm on Monday at Alford’s Mortuary.
