Dorothy M. Carr

Dorothy M. Carr, 95, of South 27th Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, in the Holy Cross Health and Rehabili-tation Center.

Dorothy was born on Sept. 10, 1904, in Chicago, Ill., to James and Annabelle (Frailey) Williams. As Dorothy M. Williams, she married Thomas H. Carr on March 2, 1921, in Chicago. Thomas passed away on Dec. 27, 1968. Dorothy was also preceded in death by two children, Phillis Carr in 1930 and Donald Carr in 1975.

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Eileen (Ralph) Andreae of South Bend; two sons, Howard (Gloria) Carr of Granger, Ind., and Robert (Rosemary) Carr of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven grandchildren, John Andreae and Diane Zakrowski, both of Granger, Jim Carr, Jay Carr and Gary Carr, all of Indianapolis, Robert Carr of Mishawaka, Ind., and Kathy Carr of Mauldin, S.C.; eight great-grandchildren, Lisa Andreae, Angela Andreae, Griffin Carr, Garrison Carr, Michael Carr, Alesia Carr, Donald Zakrowski and David Zakrowski; and by two great-great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Zakrowski.

Dorothy was a homemaker, a member of the River Park United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24, in the River Park United Methodist Church, where friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Philip E. Abram will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
