Mishawaka - Charles L. Carnoy, 77, of 326 W. 11th St., died about 9:15 a.m. Saturday in his home after an illness. Mr. Carnoy retired retired from the Dodge Manufacturing plant here in 1973 after 30 years of service. He was born Feb. 27, 1911 in Wachtebeke, Belgium, moving here in 1925.
On July 19, 1952, in Mishawaka, he married Lucy Santi, who died March 27. Surviving are a daughter, Norma Jean Wilcox of Vandalia; a son Bill Ipe of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bavos Catholic Church. Burial will be in in Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Hahns DeVos Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Carnoy was a member of St. Bavos Church, the BK Club, the Dodge Quarter Century Club and the DeAmicis Club.
