Harry William Carlton, Sr., 84, of 56732 Crumstown, died at
9:35 p.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital after a two-month illness.
Carlton was an Indiana & Michigan Electric Co. employe,
retiring in 1949 after 22 years, and was a farmer until retiring
in 1953. Born Dec. 3, 1891, in South Bend, he had lived here his
llifetime. On Feb. 17, 1917, in South Bend, he married Mary
Jane Francis of South Bend; four sons, Richard E., Harold L.,
Merie E. and Harry W. Jr., all of South Bend; 13 grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren and a brother, Glenn of South Bend.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Welsheimer
Funeral Home, 521 N. William.

Carlton-Services for Harry William Carlton St., 84, of
56732 Crumstown, who died at 9:35 p.m. Friday in Memorial
Hospital after a two-month illness, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in
the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William,. Rev. George
Bennett, pastor of the Monson Chapel United Methodist Church,
will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Friends
may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
