Mrs. Ella E. Carlton, aged 75, of Portage township, state route No. 2, died in her home at 9 p.m. Monday after 13 years illness with arthritis. She was born Oct. 19, 1862 and spent her life there. She leaves four sons, Clarence Carlton, Harry and Glen Carlton of Portage township, and Earl Carlton of Farmington, M?; one daughter, Mrs. Mazie Hoover, of Portage and a sister Mrs. Rhoda Brown, Portage township. The body will lie in the residence, five miles west of the city, where the funeral will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. G.C. Nausenuetz, pastor of Munson chapel Methodist Episcopal church of which she was a member will officiate and interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
