Carl M. Carlson, 91, formerly of East
Altgeld Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:15 p.m. on Sunday,
April 20, in the Episcopal Church Home, Louisville, Ky. He was
born April 19, 1906, in Chicago, Ill., living most of his life in
South Bend, and moving to Louisville one and a half years ago.
In 1930, in South Bend, he married Eva Ludlum,
who preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 1988.
He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne LaBrash
of Mishawaka, Ind.; a son, Dr. Richard Carlson of Louisville; six
grandchildren, John LaBrash, Karen Bettner, Debra LaBrash,
Clifford Carlson, Brian Carlson and Eric Carlson; four
great-grandchildren, Emily Rose Labrash, and Anna Catherine
Carlson, Blake Prentice Carlson and Mary Megan Carlson. Mr.
Carlson retired from the Indiana Michigan Electric Company and
was a member Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in
the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday in the
funeral home, with Rev. Harris Schultz, pastor of Sunnyside
Presbyterian Church, officiating. Entombment will take place in
the Riverview Mausoleum.
