Mrs. Evedene Campbell

1912 – April 17, 1960

Mrs. Evedene Campbell, 48, of 910 Vermillion Ave., Gary IN, a former resident of this city, died at 3am Thursday in her home.

She was born in Mishawaka and lived here most of her life until she moved to Gary four years ago.  As Evedene Garn she married Dr. Newton Campbell, a Gary dentist, in June 1956.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Miss Nancy Garn, at home; two brothers, Lowell D. Renner, of South Bend and William Renner, of Hawthorne CA; and one sister, Mrs. Russell H. May, of Mountain Top PA.  Mrs. Campbell was a member of Christ Church, Episcopal, Gary, and of the Order of Eastern Star in Alter City NV.

Friends may call in the Bubb Chapel after 7pm today and until the services there at 9:30am Monday.  Rev. Robert J. Yunker, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate.  Another service will follow at 10:30am that day in the Cathedral of St James, Episcopal, South Bend, with Rev. Robert F. Royster, pastor, assisted by Father Curtis, of Christ Church, Gary, officiating.  Burial will be in Osceola Cemetery.
