Betty J. Campanello, 73, of South Bend, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
She was born on March 23, 1932, in Casey, IL, to McKinley and Geleah (Hires) Harris. On February 7, 1953, in Elkhart, IN, she married Guy James Campanello, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1991.
Mrs. Campanello is survived by three daughters, Lisa L. (Todd A.) Eash of Elkhart, IN, Guyla A. (Mike) Moore of South Bend and Tonya S. (Aaron) Hardwick of Fishers, IN; three grandchildren, Tyler and Lili Eash and Ashley Moore; a sister, Evelyn Houser of LaPorte, IN; and a brother, Milton G. (Marilyn) Harris of Arizona.
Mrs. Campanello has lived in the South Bend area for forty-nine years. She was employed as a hostess at Bishop's Cafeteria in Scottsdale Mall, South Bend, for 20 years.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2006, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2006, in the funeral home.
