SOUTH BEND - Daniel L. Calloway, 67, of South Bend, passed away of an apparent heart attack on Thursday, January 21, 2010, at 10:15 a.m. in his residence. Mr. Calloway was born July 17, 1942, in South Bend, IN, to the late Edward and Mary M. (Rankin) Calloway. Daniel leaves behind two daughters, Mary C. (Andrew) Follman of Indianapolis, IN, and Carrie L. Calloway of Indianapolis, IN. He also leaves behind one sister, Cheryl A. (Terry) Crone of Carmel IN; and two brothers, Thomas Calloway of Hollywood, FL, and John Calloway of Brownsburg, IN. Also his two granddaughters, Olivia and Madeline Follman of Indianapolis, IN, whom he loved and cherished. Daniel was self-employed for many years. His family loved him dearly and will miss him. A memorial service will take place at Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road / SR 23, South Bend, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Father David Porterfield will be officiating. The family will receive friends one-half hour after the memorial service in the Hanley & Sons Funeral Home. The Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home handled arrangements and services and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Calloway family.
