Mrs. Emeral M. Callander

            Mrs. Helen L. Callander, 4522 South Michigan Street, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph hospital after an illness of six weeks.  She was born in South Bend, Aug. 15, 1918 and was married in South Bend in June, 1940 to Emeral M. Callander who survives.

            Also surviving are two children, Connie and Barbara; her Parents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Winkler; two sisters, Miss Mary Jo, South Bend, and Mrs. Frieda Shiffill, Waterloo, Ind. and a brother, Frank, a student at Indiana University, Bloomington.

            Friends may call in the Hay funeral home after noon Friday until funeral services at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Jude’s Catholic Church.  Rev. John Szot, pastor, will officiate.
