GRANGER-Vere U. Caldwell 76, of Bristol, Conn., formerly of Granger, died Sunday in Bristol Hospital. Mr. Caldwell was employed by Bendix Crop., South Bend, for 25 years. He was born May 1, 1918, in South Bend and moved to Bristol five years ago, going there from Granger. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Nemeth) Caldwell of Bristol;  a daughter, Sherry Solliday of Bristol; and a grandson. He was a veteran of World War II.
