Brother Cajetan CSC, 72, for many years head prefect at St. Edward’s hall, preparatory school at the University of Notre Dame, died Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the community house at Notre Dame. He retired from active duty about four years ago and had been ill for the last year. His death, however, came unexpectedly, and he seemed in his usual heath yesterday. He was born in Avon, N.Y. June 15, 1855 and came to Notre Dame in 1882. On March 19, 1885 he became a regular member of the community.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 8 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church at Notre Dame, with burial in the community cemetery.
