Raymond E. Cain

Raymond E. Cain, 72, of 9955 Baldwin Road, Bridgeman, Mich., died of natural causes at 2:37 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, in his home.

Mr. Cain was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Monticello, Ill. He worked for 20 years as a New York City railroad engineer and 20 years as an electrical journeyman.

He is survived by three daughters, Donnarae (Albert) Wines of Buchanan, Mich., Cheri Lynn (Jerald) Stephens and Robin Renee (Jeff) Mather, both of Niles, Mich.; a son, Lance R. Cain of Niles; two sisters, Mary Alice Nelson of Buchanan and Elizabeth Quick of Foley, Ala.; a brother, Al Cain of South Bend; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory M.K. Cain, who died in 2000; a sister, Elsa West, who died in 1974; and by four brothers, Neson, Melvin, Randall and Donald.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept 6, in Swem Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Three Oaks, Mich.
