   The funeral of Mrs. Bessie Byrd, 135 North Birdsell street, took place at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Higgins mortuary. Rev. William T. Beck, of Grace A. M. E. Zion church, red the service and burial was in Highland cemetery.
