Travis W. Bybee, 81, residing on Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN, passed away at 5:32 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, Mishawaka, IN. She was born on April 30, 1920, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Russell and Nora (Musgrave) Roark, and had lived in the South Bend community since coming from Indianapolis in 1964.

On August 11, 1937, in Lafayette, IN, she married Gilbert O. Bybee, who preceded her in death on July 25, 1987. Also preceding in death are two sons, Charles E. Bybee on February 6, 1992, and James O. Bybee on July 31, 1997; and a brother, Harry Musgrave. Mrs. Bybee is survived by a daughter and her husband, Cynthia and Kevin Kovach of Mishawaka, IN; two sons and their wives, Ron L. and Linda Bybee of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Robert and Jeannette Bybee of South Bend; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bybee was a member of Deer Run Church of Christ, South Bend, formerly Milburn Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bybee will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Pastor David Honeycutt will officiate. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
