Rosalia Buysse
February 28, 1853 - February 3, 1937
Mrs. Rosalie Buysse, age 83, of 522 South Pulaski Street, died in
her home at 5:30 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon after 14 days
illness. She was born in Westdorpe, Holland, February 28,
1853, and came here 30 years ago from that city. She was
married to Desire Buysse, who died 24 years ago. She
leaves three sons, Edmond Buysse of Holland, and Fred and Raymond
of South Bend; nine daughters, Mrs. Elda Wulfaert, Mrs. Alfred
Ranschaert, Mrs. Gustave Pauwels, Mrs. Emiel Lekens, Mrs. John
VanTornhout, Mrs. Arthur Van Heck and Mrs. Walter Davidson of
South Bend; Mrs. Camiel van Wynsberghe of Mishawaka, and Mrs.
Clement van Heesbeke of New Carlisle, this county. She
leaves also 22 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a
sister Mrs. Mathilda Spiessens in Holland. The body will
lie this evening in the residence and the funeral will take place
at 9 o'clock, Saturday morning from the Belgian Sacred Heart
Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Edmond T. Phillippe, pastor,
will sing the mass and burial will be in Cedar Grove
Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 o'clock,
Friday evening in the church.
