Florentine Buysse

Florentine ''Tina'' Buysse, 93, of West 7th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, Wakarusa, Ind.

Mrs. Buysse was born on Jan. 1, 1906, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of the late Alphons and Therese (Van Poppel) Audenaert. She was a lifelong area resident.

On Jan. 15, 1927, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, as the former Florentine Audenaert, she married Alphonse F. Buysse, who preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1975. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, John Sibley on June 3, 1989.

Mrs. Buysse is survived by a son, Larry (Judy) Buysse of Mishawaka; a daughter, Louise Sibley, also of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Lori (Peter) Dance of Indianapolis, Ind., David Buysse of Indianapolis, Lisa (Scott) King of Indianapolis and Lesley Buysse of Mishawaka; and by two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Dance and Melody Dance, both of Indianapolis.

Mrs. Buysse was employed by the former Uniroyal in Mishawaka for 35 years, retiring in 1971. She was a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, the B-K Club Ladies Auxiliary, Mishawaka, the Theresians and Rosary Sodality.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. today in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, where wake prayers will be said at 4:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, with Rev. William Sullivan officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
