Mrs. Elodie Buysse

May 11, 1884 – July 3, 1966

Mrs. Elodie Buysse, 82, of 628 W. Western Avenue, died Sunday in St Joseph’s Hospital. 

She was born on May 11, 1884, in Aeltre, Belgium, and came to South Bend in 1922.  On October 22, 1922, in Belgium, she was married to Camiel Buysse, who died in 1946.  She retired from the Wilson Manufacturing Co in 1950.

She is survived by a brother, Emiel Van Belleghem of Belgium.

Friends may call after7pm today in the DeVos Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30.  Services will be held at 9:30am Thursday in Sacred Heart Church on W. Thomas St and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Rev. Joseph Horvath, pastor of Corpus Christi Church, will officiate.

Pallbearers at services for Mrs. Elodie Buysse, 628 W. Western Ave, who died Sunday, will be Rene, Theophil and Maurice Cornelis, Cyriel Wille, August Ysebaert and Rene Versmesse.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today in the DeVos Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka and services will be at 9:30am Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, W. Thomas St.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
