Edith B. Butz  

Edith Burdella Butz, 85, of 2872 Jamestown Court S., Mishawaka, died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday in her home. She was employed at the former Frances Shop in downtown South Bend about 35 years age. Born June 1, 1899, in White County,Ind., she lived in the South Bend-Mishawaka area since 1926, coming from Fowler, Ind. On Jan. 22, 1920, in St. Joseph as Edith Wysong, she married Ellsworth R. Butz, who survives. Mrs. Butz also is survived by a daughter, Edna Douglas of Elkhart; a son, Robert of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.   Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 531 N. William St.,  and graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka, of which she was a member.
