Brother Albinus Butler CSC, 69, a
bookkeeper for the University of Notre Dame since 1931, died
Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. He suffered a stroke
last April. He was born Feb. 25, 1894 in Chicago, where he
attended Crane High School and the University of Chicago. He
entered the Sacred Heart Postulate in Watertown, Wis. in 1926 and
received his habit at Notre Dame in 1926. He worked on the St.
Joseph Farm near Granger before taking his bookkeeping position.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be at 8:30 Wednesday in Sacred
Heart Church on the campus where the Office of the Dead will be
at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may call at Corby Hall Chapel after 5
p.m. today.
