GRANGER - Sharon Mae Butcher, 68, of Granger, Indiana,
passed away of natural causes on Sunday, May 11, 2008, in
Valparaiso Hospital, Valparaiso, Indiana. Sharon was born April
29, 1940, in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late Otto and Alta Mae Leer.
On June 24, 1970, the former Ms. Leer was united in marriage to
Mr. Lloyd Butcher in Kirklin, Indiana. Lloyd survives along with
one son, Walter (Michele) Butcher of Granger; two grandchildren,
Michaela and Daniel Butcher, both of Granger; a brother, Harold
(Janet) Leer of Elkhart; and a sister, Sandy Stemm of
Elkhart, Indiana. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother,
Larry Leer.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to
the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, May 14, in the New
Creation Fellowship Church, 30190 C.R. 10, Granger, Indiana, with
Pastor David Klahr presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel
Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is
handling arrangements. Sharon was employed by Crown International
in Elkhart for over seven years, retiring in 2002. In her spare
time she enjoyed making crafts, and volunteering at the New
Creation Fellowship Church where she was a member and former
Elder.
