SOUTH BEND - Vivien B. Bushnell, 97, formerly of South Bend,
Indiana, died at Bell Trace, Bloomington, Indiana on March 18,
2010. Vivien was born on December 1, 1912 in Lime Rock, CT to
Wendell J. Bacon and Linda L. Griesbach. On July 6, 1936 in
Naugatuck, CT as Vivien May Bacon she was married to Lester P.
Bushnell of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband
Lester, two daughters, Jean Alice and Leslie Ann, two sisters
Eunice Pearson and Linda Kolb, both of Massachusetts. Surviving
are their daughter Beverly Baker and her husband Michael R. Baker
of Bloomington, IN, a grand daughter Leslie Erin Baker Lowell and
husband Brandon Lowell of Bloomington, a sister Ruth Solberg of
Cape Cod, MA, and a brother Wendell A. Bacon of Tempe, AZ. She
was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of South Bend since 1956,
a member of 1st Presbyterian Women, PEO, and Woman's Auxiliary of
Memorial Hospital before moving to Bloomington in 2002. A brief
service will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 South Old
Highway 37, Bloomington, IN., 1 pm Monday March 22. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wonderlab Museum
of Science Health and Technoligy or Middle Way House, both of
