Lester P. Bushnell

SOUTH BEND - Lester P. Bushnell, 88, of 5314 Kings Mill Court, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Retirement Community. Mr. Bushnell was plastics division manager at Uniroyal, retiring in 1972 after 42 years. He was born June 17, 1907, in Chicago and lived here since 1943, coming from Naugatuck, Conn.

On July 6, 1936, in Naugatuck, he married Vivien Bacon. She survives with a daughter, Beverly Baker of Bloomington, Ind., and one grandchild. He was a member of South Bend Lodge 294 F & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of South Bend, Orak Shrine Temple of Michigan City and Chi Phi Fraternity.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Cremation will take place, with burial at a later date.
