SOUTH BEND - Monica Bush, 89, of North Olive Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 10:47 a.m., Wednes-day, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Mrs. Bush was born on March 29, 1907, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She was an employee of the former Robertson Department Store.

On July 3, 1933, in South Bend, as Monica Brzezinski, she married Joseph Bush, who preceded her in death in 1973. A son, Joseph Jr., preceded her in death in 1956. Surviving is a daughter, Eleanor Taylor of South Bend, seven grandchildren, Calen Christopher Chrzan, Gloria Jablonski, Mary Taylor, Monica Taylor, Katherine Qasem, Karen Taylor and Carol Taylor; ten great-grandchildren, Joseph Jablonski, Kevin Taylor, Kenneth Price, Charles Taylor, Daniel Jacobson, Sandra Sprunger, Robert Jacobson, Ryan Williamson, Jennifer Jacobson and William Binion; and a great-great-grandson, Zachary Taylor.

Mrs. Bush was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Hedwig Church, the Daughters of Isabella, Women of the Moose Lodge 58, a volunteer for the Red Cross and Real Services, and past president of the International Club of the YWCA.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m., today, in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m., today. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Association.
