Hugh Bush

Hugh Bush, 83, of South Bend, passed
away at 3:27 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2001 in Hospice House. He
was born July 6, 1918 in South Bend to the late LeRoy Bush and
Dessie Goheen. Also preceding him in death were his sisters,
Margarite Surver and Marion Clough.
On May 3, 1941 in South Bend he married
Irene M. Reichanadter who survives. Also surviving are his
daughters, Sheila (James) Falls and Marlene Reinking
of South Bend; five grandchildren, James (Michele) Reinking, Lisa
(James) Schroeder, Bruce (Shelley) Molnar and David
Molnar and Jeffrey Molnar; two step-grandchildren, James P.
(Susan) Falls and Kevin M. Falls; six great grandchildren, Ciera Nussbaum,
Marisa Nussbaum, Christopher Reinking, Amanda Reinking, Adam
Molnar and Amelia Molnar; four step-great-grandchildren Amanda,
Daniel, Alyssa, Andrew Falls; and a sister, Mary Alice Ruklic
of South Bend.
Mr. Bush retired in 1979 from Chrysler
Motors in Detroit as a Clay Sculptor in the Design Department. He
had previously worked for Raymond Loewy at Studebaker Design
Department. He belonged to Sunnyside Presbyterian Church where he
served as a Deacon. He was a member of the Studebakers Drivers
Club and enjoyed painting, wood carving, and was an excellent
cabinet maker.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday,
July 17, 2001 in the WELSHEIMER NORTH FUNERAL HOME, 17033
Cleveland Road, with Rev. Robert McMullin officiating. Cremation
will follow and burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Friends may
call in the funeral home today, July 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one
hour prior to services Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County,
Sunnyside Presbyterian Church or the Donor's Choice.
