Brother Fergus Burns CSC, 64, of Holy
Trinity High School, Chicago, was found dead early Tuesday
morning in his room of an apparent heart attack. He was working
with the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Chicago, and was a former
librarian and teacher. He taught at St. Joseph High School. South
Bend, from 1954 to 1955; Holy Trinity High School; and the
University of Portland. Born Oct. 20, 1911 in Watertown, NY, he
entered the congregation of the Holy Cross in 1935; made his
first voes in August 1936; and his final profession of vows in
1940.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in the
Chapel of St. Joseph on the campus of Holy Cross Junior College.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, also on the campus.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Holy Cross Brothers
Center, where a wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
