Following an 11 a.m. visitation, the funeral service for Chad E. Burnett will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, in the Cobb Funeral Home, South Bend Chapel, 3525 South Michigan Street. Chad Eugene Burnett, 23, of Sheridan Avenue, South Bend, Ind., departed this life on Monday, Oct. 28, 2002. Chad was born on Feb. 6, 1979, in South Bend, to Erma Jackson and Odell Eugene Burnett Jr. He attended Washington High School and was formerly a construction worker in Marietta, Ga. He had lived in South Bend until 1999 when he moved to Marietta. He returned to South Bend in 2001.

Chad leaves to cherish his loving memory his mother, Erma Jackson of South Bend; his father, Odell E. Burnett Jr. of Marietta; two sisters, Adele Burnett and Nicole Burnett; one brother, Bryan Burnett; one nephew, Michael Davis Jr.; maternal grandmother, Lizan Jackson; paternal grandmother, Gail Burnett, all of South Bend; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Chad was preceded in death by a son, Isaih Tyriek Eugene Judd in 2001; maternal grandfather, Silas Jackson in 2002; paternal grandfather, Odell E. Burnett Sr. in 1994; and by a paternal step-grandmother, Emma Burnett in 2002.

Chad will always be remembered as a warm, friendly and helpful young man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and his dog, D.O.G. Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend.
