Daniel L. Burks

April 21, 1955 – December 25, 1968

Daniel Lee Burks, 13, son of Mr & Mrs Richard Burks, of 17616 Adams Rd, Granger, died at 10pm Wednesday in the Northern Indiana Children’s Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born April 21, 1955, in South Bend.  Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Sarah and Kay, both at home; a maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Wheeler, of South Bend; his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Gilbert Fortin, of South Bend, and his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Walter Burks, of Granger.

Friends may call after 7pm today in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 US 31N.  Services will be held at 2pm Friday in the Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Mead, officiating.  Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St Joseph County Council of the Retarded Inc.
