John B. Burke

John B. Burke, a former South Bend resident for 55 years, died Sunday night in Community Hospital, Indianapolis.  He had resided in Indianapolis for the last 11 years.

Born in St Jospeh County, he had formerly been in the real estate business in South Bend, dealing mostly in farm appraising and evaluation.  He was a member of the Real Estate Board in South Bend and active in Republican politics.  He was a member of the Methodist Church.  The funeral will be held at 11am Wednesday in the Flanner and Buchanan Fall Creek Mortuary in Indianapolis.  Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery there.  Surviving are his widow, Lillian F. and a brother, William H., in South Bend.
