Roy E. Bullard
Roy E. Bullard, 86, of 1221 N.
Fremont, died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after an extended
illness. He was a contract administrator for the Air Force until retiring in
1964. Bullard moved to South Bend after World War I and was employed as an
engineer for many years with the Studebaker Corp. He was born on Oct. 17, 1892,
in Detroit, Mich. On July 24, 1920, in South Bend he married Ethel
Wahl who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harry
(Dawn) Barrett of Fort Wayne and two grandchildren. Bullard was a
member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of South Bend; Orak Temple, Hammond; the
National Association of Retired Federal Employees; the Senior Citizens Club and
the Garden Club. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Veterans of
World War I and American Legion Post 284.
Services
will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. Williams, with
Rev. Henry Weber, pastor of St. Paul's Memorial United Methodist
Church, officiating. Interment will be in Highland Mausoleum. Friends may call
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. A Masonic memorial
service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home by St. Joseph
Lodge 45 F.& A.M. where he was a 50 year member of the
church.
