Russell J. Buck  

Russell J. Buck, 22166 New Rd., died at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in his residence after suffering a heart attack. He had been ill with a heart ailman since December. He was born in Plymouth on Sept. 18, 1902, and had lived in the South Bend area for 40 years, coming here from Plymouth. On March 19, 1927, in South Bend he married Bonnie Marshall. Mr. Buck was employed by the Bendix Products Division, Bendix Aviation Corp. Surviving are his widow; his mother, Mrs. Grace Buck; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Mountjoy of Falls Church, Va., Mrs Ervin Tompkins and Mrs. Wilmot Tisdale, both of South Bend; two sons, Ronald D. at home, and Thomas, of Mishawaka; a sister, Mrs. Murray Farrar, of South Bend, and a brother, Ford, of Mishawaka. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Rev. Clyde Rusk, pastor of Maple Grove Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
