Gordon V. Buck

Feb. 2, 1916 - Feb. 20, 1997

Gordon V. Buck, 81, died after an illness at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, in Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 2, 1916, in South Bend, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Buck retired in 1977 from Century Soft Water where he was a bookkeeper. Gordon married the former Charlotte Murray in South Bend on August 10, 1947, who survives.

He is also survived by a daughter Pamela Bidwell and her husband Terry of Edwardsburg, Mich.; two grandsons, Jason and Mark Bidwell; by his sister, Clarabelle ''Buck'' Brockus of Mishawaka, Ind.; and by many nieces and nephews, great- nieces and nephews, and great-great- nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Gordon was a World War II Army veteran and a lifetime member of the D.A.V.

Memorial visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, at Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., with a memorial service at 1 p.m., conducted by Rev. Ervin Mize. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park at a later date.
