John J. Bucker

John J. Bucker, 52, of 30th Avenue in
South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in
his daughter's residence. John was born on Sept. 23, 1949, in
South Bend, to Joseph Joe and Edith (Yates) Bucker, who
have both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by
his brothers, Richard and Danny Barnes. On Dec. 28, 1968, in
South Bend, John married Patricia A. Riffle at their residence.
John leaves to cherish his memories his grandmother, Mamie Yates
of Granger, Ind.; his wife, Patricia; his sons, John J. Bucker
Jr. of South Bend, Danniel F. (Andrea) Bucker of Mishawaka, Ind.;
daughters, Donna M. (Eric) Breden of Cassopolis, Mich.,
Edith L. Bucker of South Bend and Christy L. (Albert) Ballin of
South Bend; his brothers, Joe Bucker of Granger, Paul Bucker of
Russellville, Ark., Tommy Barnes of Mishawaka, Jerry
Barnes of Mishawaka, Tony Barnes of Walkerton, Ind., and Raymond
Barnes of Lake City, Ark.; his sisters, Mary Burke of
Osceola, Ind., Jackie Morris of Walkerton, Mickey Crider
of South Bend, Peggy Dover of Mishawaka and Sue Burnett
of Russellville; 15 grandchildren, Ashley, Tim, Tey Tey, Paige,
Trinity, John David, John J. Bucker III, Danniel Jr.,
Crystal, Joseph Eli, Joe, Jennifer, Brock, Selena and Holly; and
by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit in the Chapel Hill Funeral
Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 26. Funeral
services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
John was employed by HI Speed Auto Wash as a manager, where he
was known as "Everyone's favorite car wash man." He
loved to collect pigs, he enjoyed wrestling and rabbit hunting,
and he loved his family.
