Jeannette Ruth Bryant, 89, residing
at Regency Place Nursing Home, formerly of Linda Lane, Granger,
died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2001, in Regency Place.
Mrs. Bryant was born November 23, 1911, in South Bend as the
daughter of John B. and Amalia C. (Mielke) Kuespert and
lived in Virginia for many years returning to South Bend in 1980.
She retired as Realty Specialist for National Park Service in
Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia.
On April 12, 1941, in Herndon, Virginia, as
Jeannette Ruth Kuespert, she married Walter Hugh Bryant.
He passed away in 1967. She was also preceded in death by two
brothers, Walter A. Kuespert in December 1977, and John G.
Kuespert in November 1990, and a nephew, John M. Kuespert in June
1990. Among survivors is a stepsister, Sylvia Humphrey of
Pennsylvania; two nieces, Elizabeth Bubelenyi of South
Bend and Mary A. Young of Angola, IN; and five nephews,
Thomas L. Kuespert of Lafayette, Ind., Ralph G. Kuespert of
Hurst, TX; Robert H. Kuespert of South Bend, Charles D. Kuespert
of Arlington, TX, and Edward F. Kuespert of Ellicott City, MD.
Mr. Bryant was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, South
Bend, Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #360, Mishawaka, the 1916
Society of National Park Service, National Association of Retired
Federal Employee's.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept.
7, in Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, with
calling one half-hour prior to services. Graveside services and
burial will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, September 10, in Union
Cemetery, Leesburg, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be
offered to Zion United church of Christ, South Bend; Literacy
Council of South Bend; Salvation Army or United Health Services
Diabetes Association.
