Mary C. Brummitt, 88, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of 202 W. Michigan Street, New Carlisle, Ind., died on Monday, March 2, in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Hardinsburg, Ind., on Aug. 28, 1909.
She married Donald W. Brummitt on Aug. 8, 1937. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1979.
She graduated from Indiana University and was a teacher in the New Carlisle and New Prairie High Schools, retiring in 1975. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Dan Tipps of Beavercreek; two grandsons, Tom Tipps and wife Becky of Beavercreek and Doug Tipps of Riverside; and by two great-grandchildren, Kathy and Eric.
She was a member of the New Carlisle Community Christian Church, 201 W. Michigan Street, New Carlisle, where services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Rev. Michael Donahue officiating. Interment in New Carlisle Cemetery in Indiana.
