NEW CARLISLE - Richard David Brugh, 79, of New Carlisle, IN passed away in his home. He retired in 1996 following 16 years of service with the Indiana Toll Road. Mr. Brugh was born on January 21, 1929, in Mishawaka, IN to Curtis and Ruth (Robbins) Brugh and was a lifelong area resident.

On November 24, 1949, in North Liberty, IN, he married Leora Jeannette (Adams) Brugh who preceded him in death in 2001. Mr. Brugh is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Marlene Brugh of Annandale, MN; three grandchildren, Angie, Adam and James and his wife, Nicole, Brugh; and three great-grandchildren, Ashlea and Jessie Brugh, and Kami Hollir. His brother, Robert Brugh preceded him in death. Mr. Brugh was a member of New Carlisle Community Church. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, in New Carlisle Community Church, 201 W. Michigan, New Carlisle, IN 46552. Dr. Irwin Young, pastor of the church will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from noon until time of service in the church. Contributions in memory of Richard David Brugh may be made to New Carlisle Community Church.
