Leora Jeanette Brugh, 70, residing on Indiana 2, New Carlisle, Ind., passed away at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. Mrs. Brugh was born on March 3, 1921, in North Liberty, Ind., as the daughter of Leo R. and Sylvia E. (Lowry) Adams, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Nov. 24, 1949, in North Liberty United Methodist Church, she married Richard D. Brugh, her husband of nearly 52 years, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Michael (Cindy) Brugh of New Carlisle and Rick (Marlene) Brugh of Minneapolis, Minn.; three grandchildren, Angela Brugh, Adam Brugh and James Brugh; one great-granddaughter, Ashley; a sister, Margie Paul of South Bend; and by a brother, Rudy (Gloria) Adams of Walkerton, Ind.

Mrs. Brugh served as dispatcher for the New Carlisle Police Department for six years. She was a member of Community Church of New Carlisle.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brugh will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Palmer Funeral Homes, 2528 Mishawaka A venue, South Bend. Rev. Ernie Geist will officiate. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
