G. William (Bill) Bruggner, 53, of 3324 Cambridge Ct., Mishawaka, died Saturday in Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. He was the past owner of the Bruggners Stores, Inc. Born on June 12, 1927, in South Bend, he had lived here all of his life. On April 16, 1955, in South Bend, he married Mary Wayne who survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Cynthiaof Deltona, Fla., Miss Mary Virginia Bruggner of Columbus, Miss., Miss Margaret Ann Bruggner of Margate, N.J., Mrs. Patricia of Elkhart, Miss Elizabeth Ann Bruggner of Dallas, and Miss Carol Louise Bruggner, at home; three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Peggy of South Bend. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Rev. Paul C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today in McGann Funeral Home. He was a graduate of the former Central High School and DePauw University. He was a Boy Scout Scoutmaster, a member of the Council for the Retarded of St. Joseph County and the BPO Elks Lodge 235.
