Constance "Connie" Brucker

Constance "Connie" Brucker, 91, passed away at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2002, in the residence of her daughter, with whom she resided on Brooktrails Drive, South Bend. Connie was born July 25, 1911, in Benton County, IN, to the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Wetli) Datzman. Connie graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing, Indianapolis, where she became a Registered Nurse.

On April 19, 1941, in Indianapolis.

She married Robert A. Brucker. He preceded in death on January 21, 1998. Also preceding in death were her eight sisters, Gertrude, Jennie, Ethel, Agnes, Edna, Margaret, Elizabeth and Bea; and by one brother, Raymond Datzman. She is survived by her daughters, Ann (Dave) Boggs of Peru, Indiana, and by Jane Love of South Bend; and by her grandson, Scott Boggs of Indianapolis. Connie was a member of Christ Child Society and volunteered for many years in the Gift Shop at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, in the Cathedral of St. Matthew, 1701 Miami St., South Bend, with Father Robert VanKempen officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, where a Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Constance may be made to The Boys & Girls Club of St. Joseph County, 502 E.
